Central Institute of Buddhist Studies, Choglamsar is organizing a three-day workshop

In connection with the Sacred Exposition of the Holy Relics of the Tathagata in Leh, UT Ladakh the Central Institute of Buddhist Studies, Choglamsar is organizing a three-day workshop from May 6 to 8, 2026, highlighting traditional Himalayan art and heritage practices.

The workshop is being conducted by the Himalayan Sculpture Department,

Thangka Painting Department, Himalayan Woodcarving Department, and Manuscript Conservation Department, of CIBS with a focus on preserving and promoting these important cultural traditions.

Around 50 students and tourists are actively participating in the workshop, gaining hands-on experience and deeper insight into these traditional art forms.

Anyone interested may also join the workshop at the institute free of cost till 8th May 2026.
