The inauguration of the Holy Relics Exposition at Jivetsal, Leh is a major spiritual event marking the beginning of the Sacred Exposition of relics of Gautama Buddha. The opening ceremony is scheduled on 1 May 2026 at Jivetsal (Choglamsar), coinciding with Buddha Purnima.

The inauguration will include the ceremonial reception of the holy relics, lighting of butter lamps, prayers by monks, and participation of dignitaries, Rinpoches, and international guests. It marks the start of a multi-day spiritual programme featuring meditation, Buddhist chanting, interfaith dialogues, and cultural performances, with the relics placed at Jivetsal for public.
